Behind Blue Rye

Hello! I am Erica, the owner of Blue Rye. From the moment I stepped into Blue Rye, it felt like home.

I was born and raised just outside of St. Louis, Missouri, and made the move to Beaufort nearly 20 years ago. The Lowcountry’s natural beauty and rich culture have truly captured my heart, and it’s become a place I am proud to call home.

When I’m not at the shop, I spend my time homeschooling my three children. They inspire me daily with their unique perspectives and creativity, reminding me of the importance of learning and growing alongside them. Balancing work, family, and life in Beaufort is a rewarding experience, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a vibrant community.

When my family decided to open a business, we envisioned a space where people could momentarily leave their worries behind—a place of friendship, laughter, and second chances. Blue Rye became just that: a welcoming spot for the community to connect and recharge.
